Feeling Overwhelmed with the weight of it all?

 

WHAT TO DO RIGHT NOW.

 

Take a breath. A deep, long, mindful breath.

Inhale – feel those pillows that support your clam, conscious mind expanding.

Let yourself fall into them; to quietness, to presence.

 

Now, exhale – allow the thoughts, the fear, the worry (that doesn’t serve you right now), release their tight grasp.

 

Close your eyes.

What do you hear?

 

Perhaps the familiar sound of the wind rustle leaves beside you?

Or the usual hum of traffic moving at the speed that life moves

– while the wheels keep turning.

 

Now open your eyes.

What do you see around you? What remains unchanged?

How does the light look, how does the sun feel upon your skin?

 

Allow the thoughts, the concern, the fear be felt, and then release them – with a gentle nod and caring smile.

 

Your concern is valid, but if you can acknowledge your feelings, you don’t need to carry them – or the weight of their tight grasp around you.

 

Come back to this practice of mindfulness as often as you need.

The ability to access your inner calm right now is crucial to your well-being.

 

Yes, things are about to change. 

While change can sometimes feel uncomfortable and uncertain,

it brings growth, and the courage to set sail in even the roughest of seas.
